Nonhlanhla Peggy-Sue Khumalo

She is confident that she possesses the requisite skills and experience necessary to lead Sustainability Strategies and Sustainable Impact, aiding organizations in achieving their long-term sustainability goals. With over 18 years of experience in financial services, her career commenced as a fixed income analyst in London at Investec Asset Management (Ninety-One), now known as Investec. Subsequently, she transitioned to the Corporate and Institutional business, assuming various roles such as credit analysis and client portfolio coverage with a focus on treasury solutions, capital markets, and specialized lending.

During her tenure, she collaborated closely with the power and infrastructure team to support black entrepreneurs in the Renewable Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP). Additionally, she worked alongside Mr. Stephen Koseff, the former Group CEO of Investec, in stakeholder management and cultivating key strategic partnerships. Leading as the CEO of Standard Bank South Africa’s wealth and investment business, responsible for insurance, asset management, pensions, and fiduciary services, further broadened her leadership experience in the financial services sector.

The global pandemic’s impact and transformations prompted leaders to respond with sustainable and digital solutions for clients and stakeholders. Given her extensive experience with listed companies and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), she possesses a solid knowledge base to drive appropriate partnerships and provide strategic insights, all viewed through a sustainability lens. Her core expertise encompasses aligning strategies, fostering business development, forging strategic partnerships, managing stakeholders, and navigating complex negotiations. These competencies equip her with the optimal skills to lead Sustainability Strategies and Sustainable Impact.

Among her numerous achievements, she counts being a mother of two daughters, Nobuhle and Siphosethu, as one of her greatest sources of pride.
